          Our project was developed in Creche Patronato Operário da Gávea, in Jardim Botânico, under orientation of Tereza. We worked in a class with children between three to four years old. The lessons’ main focus during the observed period was the education of the colors, which were applied by means of painting, drawing, gluing, etc.

         We followed along four classes the relashionship between Tereza and the children, and wrote down about two hundred words in her speech. From the set of words that composed it’s universal vocabulary we recognized as the subject for our project: “Playing with sand and rocks now in the corner”.

         We realized with this phrase Tereza’s need to use natural elements, like rocks and sand, in her activities. We could see this need in some practical ways, for example, a carpet of dry leaves which was used as a background for a story and as an object to stimulate the sensorial perception.

         Based on a few tests we carried out it was notorious that we would develop a corner which could be built so that the children could play with rocks and sand.. This way we built a “path”, made of colorful  tricoline fabric which could be built and rebuilt in several forms between connections with “Velcro, soda bottles filled with colorful rocks and sand and some images of animals in card paper.

         In the final experiment the bottles were wrapped by part  of the “path” and in every one of them was placed na image. They were placed out along the “path”, in a way that the children could go along imitating each one of the represented animals.

         For Felipe to live this experience is to learn different things with different people, to understand the need we have to ask someone for help.

         Already for Thais is to learn to be “carried away” by the ideas of others as a tool.
