Our Project
was conceived at Artur Ramos Municipal School through intermediation of
Iedda, teacher of physical education, who teaches children from 6 to 12 years
of age. We followed her classes for 3 months
approximately, observed her work methods and gathered words from her
Vocabulary Universe. After a study on her Vocabulary
Universe, we developed a theme for our project through a sentence: “Attention
helps in exercises and playing helps child.”
With this sentence in focus, we made
some experimentations with different objects created by us. The processes of
experimentation lead us to the creation of a circuit of activities for the
students. The circuit consisted on an aligner and customable sign boards,
makes it possible for the teacher to create different and funny activities
for her pupils. The boards were made of MDF and covered
with colorful Contact, which made it possible for customization by drawing or
writing on it. The boards can be easily cleaned after being used. We learned, with the project, to
transpose our ideas from our imagination to reality, which is a difficult but
essential task. We also learned that the most
important thing in a project is not the final product, but the process of
developing it and the manner how the project transforms the projectors. We would like to thank Iedda for welcoming
us and for helping and participating in this transforming step of our lives.
