We developed our project 'Instituto Santa Lúcia' placed at 316, Marquês de São Vicente street, Gávea.  Our project was attended by the mediator Leonilde, who teaches arts for handicapted adults. Attending the activities, we noticed that the mediator Leonilde carries out activities inside the classroom as drawing, painting, mosaic, weaving, always helping the students and let them make their works by themselves to develop their motor coordination. We also noticed that Leonilde makes them feel very comfortable to choose what they want to develop.

Since the mix of words that make part of Leonilde's vocabulary universe, we recognized as a theme for our project:

"Thinking while develop therapeutic activities doesn't depend on great masters, it's just to accept them." The mediator has chosen this sentence because it's very similar to her kind of work. Leonilde has never studied how to develop activities with handicapted people and it's in her classroom that the students have a bigger progress. And besides, Leonilde has said that when we have analyzed the chosen sentence, we noticed that some of the students can already develop some kinds of activities by themselves.

Since experiments and definitions determined together with the mediator, we noticed that the spot of the alternatives was: make transparent compartments where people could leave rests of glazed tiles and transparent needles to let the students to see the content clearly.

To make those compartments we used plastic bottles and for the supporting we made a tray using MDF.

The format of the tray makes it easy to pile them up to keep them organized. The mediator used the object in her class and saw all the advantages of the compartments for being transparents, having inlaid cover and being accessible to all the students.

She also liked the trays for being light, possible to pile up and with a specific support for the compartments.

Developing projects for me is always good to learn.  Even though it's the same method, one project is never exactly like the other. Having rythm is essencial to the work finishing. I have learned as well that we don't have to think only about the final product and that we should  focuse in studying because it's the only way to get to the final product.

 (Rodrigo Martins de Almeida)

Making project for me is to know how to respect the methodology since the beggining, so that we don't depreciate the beggining of the studies that actually is the base to get to an adequate final product. Recognizing the creative process, that is made by practicing, and it's through the obtained results that we should start thinking about the evolution of the idea.
