Our project was done at Espaço Educação School in Ms. Karen's pre-k class (Jardim 2) Ms. Karen reads stories to the children. She also encourages then to draw, to do collages, and to sing songs.

We observed that Ms. Karen's vocabulary words with the children matched the goals of our project thus creating the idea: " Let us create a garden without leaves."

In every class, the teacher calls roll taking notes on a paper.

Based on the facilitator's experiences with the children, we noticed Ms. Karen's intention to create a panel of a tree that could be used for creative arts as well as attendance.

We built a panel with cloth and bamboo sticks . Children's names were written on plastic cards with Velcro on the back and placed in pockets attached to the panel to be used for attendance. We also created "fuxicos" (little round cloth bags) of different colors: yellow, red, blue and green, also with Velcro on the back, to be placed on the tree by the children as starting points for drawing.

With this project we learned how to adjust to the needs of the class, we learned how to be friendlier with each other, and to be more positive. We also learned to go after what we want. Through this process we realized how important it is to accept our mistakes, to take responsibilities for it, and to respect the ones around us. .
