Project was made in Escola Municipal Santo Tomás de Aquino, located in Leme,
oriented by Mariza Ubeda. Mariza is a teacher of children from kindergarten
and her class has twenty two students, happening from Monday to Friday, from
7h30 to 11h30. She cares not only with passing the children the content
necessary for their first year of the circle, but she sees herself as a
person responsible for forming her students and giving them clues about
respect, care and good education. During
the time that I followed Mariza’s work, I could oberserve her applying
activities, as contructions with logical blocks and group singing. By
Mariza’s own words, a choose the following theme to my project: “TO PLAY IN GROUP WITH MUSIC” One of the activities
made by her, whose is related with the object-phrase,
is the dynamic developed that she does whenever she went into or went out
the classroom with the kids. This activity consist in put them on a
line, and the children should follow her way, singing a lot of songs like: Preta pretinha, Trem maluco and Machadinha,
or working the coordination, making them walk on the tips of the one’s toes, on
one’s heels, on the sides, with large steps or shorts steps. After the experiment of
the first ideas, it was possible to identify the attributes, which she
believes to be more important to the final product, they are: to emit a
sound, to promote a socialization, to represent the songs which she works
with the students and some kind of dovetail. The final product had
thirty and four rattles of felt made with the sewing machine and by hand, as
the filling, I used little rocks and sheets of paper. Each rattle represents,
in an object way, one element of the songs that they sing on class. The rattles can be used
in many ways, being the main one: each student stays with two or more
rattles, and some stays with the teacher. A lot of dynamics are possible to
do: she already work with the product, raising up the rattle and shaking, and
then she ask: “what the name of this song?”, when the children gave the
answer and everyone sing along with the rattle. According to the music, they
raise up they rattles, when their names are mentioned. The products were also
used to get the conception of space, position and magnitude; and to make
histories with the kids. I believe that this
experience of project has been, until now, the most important that I ever
lived, because I get I little disappointed when I think about all the support
that had been offered to me, and I didn’t made a good use. All the lost
opportunities to get evolved with the one’s whose were passing through the
same process as I, and finally, one process that I couldn’t see the results.
Now, everything seems simpler. Now I can say: “I won”. Yes, I won my
insecurity, now I know that I’m capable to do my best; I won my pride of
recognize that I need assistance sometimes, and I needed – a lot! – help. I
won my sleep. But I didn’t won alone - what kind of fun it would be? - I count on with a greatest time composed of
four persons incredible kinds, they are:
Ana, Vicente, Socorro e Mariza; there was two instructs: Manu and
Marcela – the both girls were very present and always offering help. I had
friends, students, brothers, a father. And one mother: the mother. To project, like all the
worth it, is an art, a process. To make right, is need to be involved, to be
in love. You have to understand that we don’t construct nothing alone, so we
have to accept all the points of view and respect they limits. And, the most
important, we have to apply to a universe, which is entire new, learning how
to deal with the differences and get more knowledge. To project is, more than
anything, navigate. You will, always, count with the storms, the agitated
sea, the fishes’ smell and the wind, which insists on get you to another way.
But persist, and as soon as you notice, the tranquillity will come, with the
life jacket, so, the only thing that you have to do, is enjoy the travel. “I’m
thankfull to professor Mariza, for being so involved and so helpful during
the whole process, making born on me my indispensable trust to conclude my
