Our project was conducted at the
Municipal School of Júlio de Castilhos,
as an intercessor with Professor Marcia Meirelles Freire. The school has students who attend from
kindergarten to fifth grade, where the subjects of humanities and exact
sciences are included in school grade. There, our partner provides Physical
Education classes for all grades. In the first meetings, our intercessor
practiced with many children choreographies, working hard the rhythm,
coordination and attention to each student. From the set of words that makes
up the universe of Marcia vocabulary, we recognized as the theme for the
project: "Let's focus for listening to music and play close together on
the wheel to the rhythm of the instruments." Our partner, while
rehearsing the choreography with the children, for example, was often making
a great wheel for all students dance together. Thus, during this activity,
she required concentration to listen to music and rhythm. From the trials of
the first ideas, we decided that the silicone current was our adopted
product. The adopted alternative was an object that encompasses different
tasks of the variations presented: flexibility, lightness, mobility,
practicality to the partner and diferente
possibilities of colors and sizes for the wheel. Therefore, we define as the
final product, rings of elastic tissue possessing the colors of the rainbow.
The final object was done then, with the fabric called Energy, since this is
flexible and practical for washing. To accelerate the step of cutting, we did
two casts of 45 cm long and 18 cm in height, which, placed side by side, were
used to cut strips of 90 cm x 18 cm. For the finishing of the object, we used
the overlcok to close the wide, closing with an
invisible stitch the hole to untap the inside out.
Its packaging was made with a PVC screen, two zippers, two ready handles to
bag and small strips of fabric. Inside the packaging, we tailor small strips
(16 cm x 14 cm) with the remains of the fabrics, folded in half to give a
finish. Teacher Marcia uses the object in several ways. With younger
students, she often asks them to do the movements in pairs. For older ones,
she asks to form a large circle, with all the rings, and also asks them to
rotate, put the rings on top and feet, tilt the
trunk behind balancing the body axis, among many other movements. Débora: Throughout this semester I
could live with people who taught me much about living, about respect,
teamwork and life. It was a period of tremendous growth and learning! I am
grateful for having had the opportunity to spend this time in the tent with
Ana and Gabriela, who always listened us with much
attention and affection, and gifts that really showed in our project. It made
me learn the importance of really listening and paying attention to others.
From there I could also track projects and agonies of the other pairs, and
thus, the friendships remained. I thank all my collaborators who have brought
their experience and attention to help us with ideas often decisive for the
realization of the project. / Partner Gratitude: Thanks to Marcia for taking
me and Paula with such respect and dedication. I am very happy to give her an
object that really helps her. Her classes goes beyond Physical Education, she
really knows her students and wants to help them grow! / Double Gratitude:
Finally, I thank Paula for their company, their laughter, their ideas, their sensitivity. Living with someone who gets emotional
truth with our accomplishments is amazing, and made me learn how to further
enhance our work! Paula: Participate in and
complete this project was very important to me. The living with the
intercessor and her students alerted me to the realities and difficulties
that I couldn’t notice in my day to day. As the classes of intercessory
always varied, I could contribute and provide smiles for several children and
learn even more about them. This experience made me realize that poor
children have enormous potential for creativity and enthusiasm of the
situations, unlike children with a better financial situation. The moments in
the tent, with Ana and Gabriela, were essential to my development. With them,
I learned to plan every step of my project, making me capable to develop
ideas more quickly. I have no words for the kindness and patience of all the
other teachers who helped me in this learning process. / Double Gratitude:
Thanks to Debora for all the times when she calmed
me down, helped and laughed by my side. It made me learn that when we carry
out a project that really there is an exchange between the pair, the job
becomes much calmer. Become a peace project. / Partner Gratitude: Thanks
greatly to our partner, Marcia, who always believed in our work and helped us
to complete all the steps with great care, dedication and enthusiasm. It made
me learn that when we surrender and plunged into a project, we involve all
the people who are participating with great respect, admiration and
affection. Conclusão e Avaliação do
Intercessor I was very happy to have been contemplated with the
choice of these students so committed and enthusiastic about what they do. For the first time in eight years that I teach at this
school, I had the opportunity to deal with materials as diverse and as
potentially creative, who were able to sharpen the concentration of students
from the four years to the oldest ten. At each age, the impact of
exploitation of the materials was different. We work textures, colors,
thicknesses, sizes, shapes, the elasticities,
widths, heights, diameters, linkages and outcomes. Moreover, test limits,
encourage partnership, solidarity when wheel in each pair representing one
color, and interacted with the object in question, using different levels
(high, medium and low), three-dimensionality, the inside, outside, near, far,
the bilateral (left and right), the opposite of strong and weak, the little
train with few or many students, the "star", the doubles, trios,
the race to be first to play, the competition to be who collected the
material used by colleagues, the new ... Something unusual for the
teaching experience of these children came through Debora and Paula, tireless
in getting something more suitable / appropriate for recreational and
educational activity. A child came to compare the experiences choreographed
to a "child-hope." Malleable materials that avoid any accidents
involving children and that both the characteristic, as the vibrant colors, enticed
everyone who participated or watched the activities. Me, the children and the
institution as a whole is that we must thank the partnership with the PUC-Rio
and good will of Debora and Paula, always diligent, smiling, participatory,
creative, desirous of recording the whole process, either through drawings or
photos and who managed, through the kindness, care, wisdom, dedication,
respect, ideas, sensitivity, knowledge, interaction with children, the
partnership with me, do something so incredible and magical to help as
instrumental my activities to be imparted to students, I come to suspect that
inside those plastic bags full of material, they tirelessly brought to
school, had hidden a magic wand that poss essed magical powers of transformation. Like fairies, they were surrounded by children,
always eager to know what surprise was in the bag that day. I have not had in any single day, resilience of
children to develop any of the activities that "build" from the
materials brought by the students of PUC Paula and Debora. Quite the
contrary! Still innovated constructing and deconstructing forms and my
suggestions, sometimes anticipating them by them. Very nice to see a process
germinate, grow and develop to the culmination of a fulfillment. These are the real ties, which we so often we help
"give and tie" during the class itself and to symbolize the
elasticity with which we must deal with the challenges that life offers us,
involvement, emotion, perseverance, optimism and willingness to hit. Thank you for everything you gave me two and by
extension, were "donated" to the children of this school. Kisses, Márcia. Subject: DSG 1002 Class: 1AC Professores:
