We are doing our project with the
teacher at school Aunt Ciata Lucia, located on the
street Presidente Vargas.
During one period, we follow
the instruction of Portuguese and mathematics in a class of first year. Children are in the process of literacy, the teacher prepares several years of
reading together. She makes interpretation
of text, asking students to respond orally, and read many stories about the
teachings of
life.
Already in mathematics classes, to teach
addition and subtraction accounts, Lucy uses the examples of everyday life
for a better
understanding of students, for example: John had two bullets, Mary took one,
how many bullets with John
was?
From these observations and many others,
have developed several experiments until we reach the final product.
From the set of words that
makes up the universe of vocabulary Lucia recognize as the theme for the
project: "Attention to create the
story and make a world of peace."
During the observation process, we
realized that the teacher Lucia, read many stories about the teachings of life and
environmental awareness. So think of a game that stimulates all the
activities that the teacher held with students and that its
contents could be of infinite use. The card game was conceived with the seven
colors of rainbow where each color
corresponds to a particular activity, and every time they hit the student,
the degree of difficulty increases
because the questions contained in the letters pile up until the last color
(purple) that will determine the winning pair.
They will choose the next activity by the
teacher. For this, we used the following materials: PS for 60 cards, crystal PS for letters that
represent places and adedanha, mdf
board (70x70) and vinyl (adhesive vinyl -
resistant).
The teacher played as follows: she jotted
down the names of the pairs in a table and called a time to
rotate the leaked letter, which
passes over the other. The color that the letter stopped, symbolized that the
child will have answer
the questions contained on each card drawn. The duo who had a better score at
the end of scheduled time the teacher had three choices of
activities, and favorite them was free time to play.
Marcelo:
The project accomplished this semester in a public school, he developed great
skill in me
observation activities in the
classroom, where every day I discovered a whole new world that was presented
full of surprises and life
lessons. I was
able to experience wonderful moments when I came in with an attitude
help of a disabled student and
a student considered "normal" there I showed the true worth of the
human and
social interaction in small
gestures.
I thank the teacher, Lucia, by
the fact of being present in their classes by teaching us to live day to day
within a
school, and made me learn
about the teacher-student relationship that, despite differences helped each
other to
grow.
Thanks to Tiago, the fact
always have the time to enrich the development of this project that made me
discover the importance of
dedicating a little of our time to share with others and grow in life
starting at school.
Tiago: In
the beginning of the project I aimed to make creative products and difficult
to impress and intercessory
children. But after listening to several
contributors, who were simple and beautiful products with trash, having to
attend
the deadlines set by our
teachers, and realize the happiness of the children with the experiments
seems simple to us learned to
think and develop products, simple, helpful, beautiful and within
combined time.
I thank the teacher, Lucia,
the fact always be available to receive new trials. That made me believe
we were having the teacher's
confidence, and that gave me strength to try, increasingly, surprise her and help her
developing new baits
that help students learn.
I thank my twin design,
Marcelo Gomes, by being a practical person. It made me
learn to
produce simpler products, but
that met the deadlines set by our teachers, Gabriela
Gusmao and Anna Branco.
