CIEP Tancredo Neves Rua do Catete, 77 – Catete We - Marcela and Kenyu – have done our
planning project at Tancredo Neves City school,
located in Catete street, 77. There we met our
partner, Fabrícia Paes Salomão, literacy teacher. Her main intention was to
teach the syllables and the alphabet. During our visits, she was always
making the children pay attention to the syllables that she had
written on the blackboard or on a sheet of paper. According to the words in her vocabulary, we recognized a theme for
our project: “ Write inside the rectangle the word
mouth, paint the mouth with red and the foot with green. The teacher takes
care of one, two, three... Ten pairs!!!” Fabrícia related the three phrases with
the drawings we have done and proved the veracity of our theme. In our drawings,
she is always taking care of many children and, in one of them, the children
are writing words inside rectangles. Owing to the chosen phrase, we made a
lot of objects that leaded us to one target: we should make boards where the
letters would be centered so that they would call attention of the whole
class. With our goal set, our final prototype was built with wooden screens,
cotton canvas and Vual. Fabrícia
loved to see it and decided to use it, and of course, there wasn't a child
without a smile on the face while seeing such an unusual object. Conclusions: I end up my project talking about how it changed my life. Visiting a
school I have never imagined I would, meeting employees, children and parents
who live a different reality, but still know what to love the other is.
During these visits, I saw that prejudice is the main barrier found for
people to be able to see other worlds, and how amazing it was to be a
classmate of those children, even though we have different clothing styles
and different looks. It was also great to see the need for affection of those
children. I felt more and more responsible for their care and protection just
like a real father. This was the best project I have done, and I advise the
coming students to take advantage of this very unique opportunity. I thank Marcela, who accompanied me for the entire project semester,
and helped me in other matters and works too. She helped me with much
devotion and affection without even thinking whether it might harm her. I
learned how good it is to be cared by someone that you care as well. I thank Fabrícia for welcoming us in her
activities and also for becoming a great companion, who intrusted
us to do our project and help her with the children. It caused me a great joy
and satisfaction doing our work, and I hope that I have grown a lot. It is natural to conclude something about a thing that is unknown for
us before and after getting in touch with that thing but this project made me
realize how nice it is when you have a positive finding. When I first went to
the Tancredo Neves City School, I thought that I
would find people who would be very needy and I, somehow, would be able to
help them. I was mistaken, I found myself the most needy
person in that place. Needy of knowledge, needy of experience. I discovered
myself as the person who most needed help there, I needed to learn how to get
the strenght to overcome the difficulties they
daily encountered and how to continue happy, grateful, smiling. The children
at that place were needy indeed, but their need was not for money, food or
any other silly idea that occured me before, they
were in need for attention and care. They had such an enourmous
heart that all the people they knew just weren't enough, they needed more people to love. I left the
Tancredo Neves City School feeling fulfilled
because I, somehow, helped Fabrícia and her class,
I also left the school feeling surprised because I have learned more than I
expected and feeling grateful to many people who probably don't know how
strong and wise they are, people whou probably
don't know how much they taught me. I thank Kenyu for being the wonderful person
he is. Friend who taught me that has outstanding features
that makes him different from everyone. A gentle, dedicated and
hardworking person, who made me learn probably more
than I can expound on all the thanks I made during all the report. He taught
me that with a single friend, we can learn millions and millions of lessons,
and, even though I spent the rest of my life by the side of this single
friend, the lessons he could teach me would be never over. Kenyu taught me a lot of things just with a look and with
a smile, and a word, a council, a way to do his works or a particularly kind
of worrying... He taught me a lot of things with the stress we spent
together, with the fights, with the joys and with the jokes... Anyway, He teaches
me with every little gesture I can remember that a person is capable of doing
and a little more. This made me realize that no matter how long I have spent
with someone, he will always have a lot to teach me. I thank Fabrícia for having welcomed us with
open doors and for being so receptive and so nice during all
our project. It made me realize that a place is much nicer when we are
well received, and when we have a partner as special as her! Our
intercessor’s conclusion: This
Project was really important, an INEDITED FACT, because in ten years of
working in public education, I’ve never seen such similar before. It was an
extremely valuable trade of knowledges. I think
that it must keep occurring, then many people
(children and adults) could enjoy this benefit. Subject:
