Artur Ramos Municipal Shool
Marques de São Vicente Street.
The project took place at the Artur Ramos Municipal School in Gávea
in classes of physical education given by the teacher Neyvaldo
Carvalho Filho. Every
class began with phisical heating where students
played several games that involved running and catching each other. That was the activity that the students most enjoyed.Ney invented several variations of the
game. In each game the students should make a different move to be saved
when caught by catcher. From the set of words that compose the universe of
vocabulary of Ney, we recognize as theme for our project: "To share with
a friend is to win victory. "
Ney guided students to share the ball on team games but the students had difficulties in
it. The students used to dispute when forming queues, one did not respect the
other and kept coming about in front of others. By the end of the class
the students were very agitated and had difficulty to calm down. We
define then that the party adopted would be to change the pace of
students and help them to share and respect each other.
For the final
object we create a long vest made over a foam silver fabric and finishes on
the bias, along with an elastic belt to adapt to the different sizes of the
students. We also created na astronautic boot made with much
bigger shoe sizes than the children to change their pace by making it difficult
for them to walk. We also developed a helmet made of paper marche sparyed with silver
paint to complete the outfit. The student wearing the outfit is the cather in the game called “pique-astronauta”. Other
students, when caught, must walk as if under the effect of gravity on the
moon until another student saves him. We also did two flags made of
cloth on poles of wood with also a wooden base so that it can stand up. The
flags may be used in other games such as circuit games and alternation games.
Ana Beatriz: During the second project, I learned that working with other
people requires patience, so that to dialogue is essential to
get a good result. I am grateful to Ney for having
received us so well and
his support, which caused me a great satisfaction for having chosen
to work with him.I am grateful to Brittany for beeing discouraged
at any
time, which showed me that it she a very determined person,
setting an example for me.
Brittany: What most interested me in class was the linearity between
teacher and student in which the project was developed. I was impressed
by the
trust and confidence between the two. I thank Bia
for her support during the
project which led me to believe more in my ideas, even IF they
are simple. I thank Ney who always encouraged us to
try new things even if not only involved in physical activities
which led me to know more about the different purposes in
sports class
Conclusion and Evaluation from Intercessor Neyvaldo
Pinto de Carvalho Filho
During these months it was very good to work with the girls, they dedicated a
lot to the work.About final product, the clothing
of the astronaut, we chose to focus on sharing the victory with
friends. So, we use this outfit to deal with the issue of giving and haring so that
everyone could be the main character at some point in the activity. To
“borrow" the clothing was part of how to divide the victory. The other
object that is also part of this outfit are the
flags. We used them in class as a form of alternate activity, ie,
working on questions of team spirit and conquering victory by
sharing the objects. We made a relay that to achieve this main goal,
everyone had to engage and work collectively. Thus, the focus of the work of
the girls with us was the
flag and the astronaut
outfit. The idea was very cool and the kids loved the work whcih is very rewarding, especially because of the helmet
and clothing are unusual things for hem. The
planets, the universe and technology that the issue involves are issues that
draw the attention of the kids. Regardless of whether dealing with
children in a public school in , we at Artur Ramos are already doing work related to it, so are
digital natives, native technology all the time. So it was a project
that related to that in a very interesting way I want to thank the participation of
Bia and Brittany, who were very nice and cool and ended up here enriching
our Physical Education class at school.
The project took place at Senador
Correa Municipal School, Flamengo, with the 1st
grade teacher Fabiana Carvalho
giving literacy classes to students between five and seven years old. Sheets
of exercises, videos, storybooks, magazine clippings, free drawing, dictation
and games are some of the activities held in class. The teacher's main
expectation is that students learn while having fun.
