School Praça Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora, s/ nº – Leblon, Rio de
Janeiro – RJ The project
was developed with the children alphabetization teacher Lília Arruda from the
Sérgio Vieira de Mello Municipal School in Leblon – Rio de Janeiro. Lília gives
classes to children from the favelas Rocinha and Vidigal, between 6 and 7
years old. She teaches
through child-story reading, identification and recognizing the differences
between the letters and words’ forms, drawing activities, and develops the
notion of time through activities that includes calendars. Starting
through Lília’s vocabulary universe we recognized as the project subject:
“Playing with the story, drawing and asking for us in the whole, in the
world, in the ambient, today and tomorrow, continuing learning.” The
objective-sentence embraced all Lília’s activities. We defined
that a puzzle that builds letters would be a great way of playing wit the
stories, respecting and improving Lília’s single way of teaching. As the
final product was developed a puzzle which it’s pieces are modules that
combined in different ways builds all the letters from the alphabet. It was
first built in MDF material with it’s connections in magnet, and it’s been
build a new model in cardboard covered with colored papier-maché . Subject: ART1040 Class: 1AG Teachers: Guto Lins e Isabel Oliveira Advisor: Ana Branco |
