Summary:

The Project was realized with Tânia, a literacy teacher of Centro Intgrado de Educação Pública Nação Rubro Negra. In her leasons, Tânia teaches portuguese and mathematics on a same activity. On the first two Tânia’s classes that we watched the theme that she was working with the kids was about brasilian folklore. She started the class showing them a vídeo about the folklore and after that she asked the kids to draw four of their favourite scenes of the movie. From the set of words that composes Tânia Maria Vidal’s vocabular universe, we reconized as the project’s theme-sentence : “Each class is a step of knowledge for the Discovery of the world” At her classes, Tânia , was always approaching everyday themes so her students could have a better notion of dangers, environment, and education. The concept defined as the objective of the project based in all the experimentation of our ideas was that through play, films, draws, text interpretation and telled storys, at all of Tânia’s classes, she would transmit new knowledge for her students in a playfull and easy comprehension way for the students’s age. As more knowledge they have, is easier to figure the world out. The final object was a interective apron where have a retractable carpet swen on it, where you can place letters and numbers so you can make sentences or math problems. There were three pockets on it too, so you can keep the letters and number saved by differents categories. There is two puppets hanging on the apron, also made in carpet so the letters and numbers can be placed on them too. If there’s no need to use them, Tânia can keep them in a inside pocket.

When the period startes I was very nervous because I was getting back to Design course. So I didn’t know what to expect from this new stage. I only heard good things about Ana Branco’s and Vicente’s Project. On the first day, I realized that everybody in the class already knew each other and had their partners. At the moment I thought I was going to do this projetc alone but Luiza came to me and asked if I wanted to be her partner, even we don’t knowing each other. Along of the Project I learned a lot from my intercessor, Tânia. I’ve learned that life can be way mor simple. I’ve learned that’s not the object that metters but all the situations that come with it. It was priceless to see the kids running to us to hug us. I know I’m going to miss having this all weeks. Tânia made me remember how magic was important for me when I was younger. Each learning was especial. I really enjoyed learning throgh magic and when I saw this happening with Tânia’s students I awoke this feeling inside me. One of my dreams is to work with films and animations for kids because whe I was little, the caracters were my best friends and I liked to make other kids fell the same way. I am so gratefull of the magic that this process generated. In the way of the development of the final Project, we had some setbacks but I’m happy with the result. Not only for the good times that I wish that will come with it. And for the good moments that I had doing it, I saw dear people that I know I can count on them for what I need. I’m going to give Tânia a product that gathers all the knowledge I won in this period and I hope it gives happiness to the kids that are going to use it to learn through magic and play. I thank Luiza for asked me if I wanted to be her partner. It generated hapiness and trust. I thank her too because she gave me the oportunity to teach her somethings that I love to do and she didn’t know the technics. I also thank for having some disagreements beetwen us so I could see that I have dear people that I can count on. I thank Tânia for teaching me that important things in life are moments that we live and share not fisical things. I also thank her for help me awake the magic inside me and the storys that were really important to me. It generated my will to work for people’s hapiness.

Since last period, I kwew I was going to do Ana Branco’s and Vicente’s Project classes. As I really enjoyed the first Project where Vicente were my teacher, I decided to continue the jorney. I already espected that this Project was going to give me a lot of experience besides the professional ones. I knew it was going to make me grow up as a human being. But it was stronger than I thought. Since the first day of the semester, we were pushed to a very different universe that I was used to. I can’t describe how much I’ve learned seeing those kids. Seeing them being so happy just because I was there was really especial. With this process I had the maturity to realize that gratitude dosen’t come with a mecanic gesture. To be gratefull is totally a organic feeling that comes in our everyday lifes. I thank Tânia for subdued me to make my Project with her since the begginnig. Her entusiasm through all the process was my incentive to keep it going. I thank Lara for accepting me as her partner even not knowing me. I’ve learned to keep it professional and be compromised. I thank her for teaching me a lot of knowledge.

The Project developed by Luiza and Lara had a big importance for the enrichment og the learning, estimulating the lecture, writing and math for my students. Since the first materials that the girls got us untill the last product, were good to the kids. It always estimulated their criativity and each class was a different class. All experiments were age apropriate for the kids, it were really colorfull, playfull and gave us a loto f dinamic in class. Luiza and Lara showed a big perception of the fisic enviroment of our room, and the reality of the students and did this job in a very responsable way. Every step were developed with dedication resulting in a product that is very important for my student’s learning. Trough the materials presented our classes were pleasureble. In name of the students ando f the school, I thank for the oportunite of participate and I want to congratulate Luiza and Lara.
