Panel of Possibilities to Deal with Reality

I realized the project in CIEP Presidente Agostinho Neto, located at Visconde Silva Street, in Botafogo. My partner is a teacher Vilma Jorge, who teaches in full-time, from 08:00 am until 16:30 pm. Vilma is responsible for teaching all subjects, and utilizes the material provided by the City and selects material to complement the teaching. My partner has a habit of performing activities in the Reading Room and asks students to pay attention to the daily news.

From the set of words in the vocabulary universe Vilma Jorge recognize as the theme for the project: "To face the reality we must transform himself winning his own difficulties.”

At all times Vilma states that its purpose in the classroom in the role of teacher is to give students the tools necessary to achieve their dreams and goals in life. And the field of Portuguese language is very important in this process of growth and affirmation of the individual because it is the gateway to all areas of knowledge. We build a wired panel, divided into three parts, it can set cards with pictures, word cards, blank cards, for Vilma or children write new words with special pen for whiteboard, and cards to fit new images, in order to form sentences both horizontally and vertically, to present different themes for discussion in the classroom.

The Panel of Possibilities is using for presentation and discussion of topics in the classroom, from the choice of a first image and / or word that stimulates the choice of the next word and / or image thereafter, and at the end of this process association of images and words. The panel is full of different and complementary approaches on the topic under discussion, allowing in particular the increase in vocabulary, the interpretation of the issues addressed, and other aspects of the Portuguese language, in addition to general knowledge.

Living this experience served to learn through observation and approach of teacher Vilma during their activities in the classroom with students, and our conversations, I had the opportunity to enter this context, and in partnership with Vilma could build a viable prototype for this reality. The moments of reflection on the project helped me to identify and resolve any questions related to my new college experience, making me feel more comfortable in this environment.

What I did learn that to achieve any of my goals is to face the difficulties as important to celebrate the successes, it is this awareness that will allow me to make the best choices. "
